Sometimes in the winds of Change, we find our True Direction

The Guild of the Museum of Arts and Sciences is an organization with a tremendous legacy over the last 49 years--a legacy of many past officers who have worked diligently using their skills to ensure that we promote the interests of MOAS through lifelong learning in art, science and history in the community. The strategic direction of the 2011-2012 year protectes this legacy by building on the good efforts of those before us who help Guild members to continue providing these main events for the community to enjoy.

  • The Halifax Art Festival in downtown Daytona Beach, early November.
  • The Festival of Lights at the Museum, mid-November through Thanksgiving and.
  • The Gold Tournament Classic in April to support the Children's Center at the Museum.
  • Member Appreciation Openings at the Museum at varying times and dates.

The mission of the Guild is to increase community awareness and interest in the Museum. Make plans now to join us at the Museum on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10 am for a year of inspirational monthly programs, designed to cultivate your curosity.

I have always believed that the only constant in life is change. As many of you have heard from me over the last four years, Success is a team sport. If we all stand together to focus on our passion and dedicate our powers, talents and skills as one, we will continue to be successful withour mission.

It is with deep appreciation I say THANK YOU for this honor to serve you as President of the MOAS Guild for the year 2011-2012!

Dr. Kay Brawley, President, Guild of MOAS 2011-2013
